Congratulations to our U18 Elite girls team who won their second match of the group stage of the FYSA State Cup Tournament and will now move on to the 16 team knock out stage. Just so you know, the State Cup Tournament crowns the state champion in each age group. At today's match, Bianca Meraz scored two goals. So give a big shout out to the girls, who are the first team in DYSC history to be accepted to this prestigious tournament, and now the first to move on to the next round to go up against the best teams in the state!

The DYSC U18 Girls Elite team won their first game in the group stage of the 2017 State Cup Tournament hosted by Florida Youth Soccer Association! The State Cup Tournament is the top level tournament to crown the state champion in each age group, attracting the best youth soccer teams in the state. It is quite an achievement to even qualify for the tournament, and this is the second time the girls have been selected for this tournament. On Saturday, the girls beat the Tamp Dynamo, ranked 26th in the state, in Palm Coast with a score of 4 to 0. Ivy Grace Morgan scored 3 of the goals for a hat trick! Only two of the teams in our 4-team group will advance to the next stage. The team will be going up against FFK Black of Winter Springs Saturday, April 22nd, and this team is the number 2 ranked team in the state. Then on Sunday, Apr. 23rd, the team plays a South Dade team for the final game of the group. So, let's all wish our girls success in their quest to win the State Cup! See the following link for the schedule if you would like to come up to Palm Coast to watch:

For those girls interested, this team will be looking for players to add to this team for the 2017/2018 soccer season. If you think you have what it takes to play at this level, or on any of the other teams, come out to the tryouts April 17th – April 20th! Click Here for more information.
